Well its done.
No real heavy modifications, just trying to get a rat rod feel for the truck.
Hope you like it:

Only aftermarket items are turned velocity stacks, wirings, radiator and gas cap and thats it.

Looks real good. There's always a special place in my heart for well presented flat colors.

It could use some lowering imo, but awesome job as always. I have this same kit and didnt notice that there werent any door panel details. Or are there some and you just decided to leave it out? Either way, sweet rat rod!

I like it! The color combo is great. Lowering the back end would be a nice touch.

Very nice :bigthumb:
Lots of nice rods on the forum recently. It teases me to build one.
Just a question: the pinstripping decals you used, were they in the kit?

Yes, the pinstripes were included in the kit as decals.
I wasn't sure how to lower the rear end, as the suspension is a one piece spring (as you can see) and if I cut the sprig it would not have an attachment point. Unless I would swap out the rear end I don't think its possible to lower it much. As is I bent the leaf spring pretty good to get it to sit lower.

Yeah, sometimes it's not easy to do a radical change in ride height w/o re-engineering the whole deal. That's up to the builder to decide if it's worth the effort or not. Looks cool regardless. :smokin:

Cool modelcar !
I like it, s got very cool colour and the little details make it really stand out, like the chrome parts and the inscriptions... overall really ace model, although the ejector marks on the insides of the doors are maybe the little detail that makes it a second place instead of a first place in a contest !

Hehe Oli you got a sharp eye there. Thank goodness I am not entering any contests (never have actually)
