First g-Tech Run!!!

Well me and my friend went out to the local dump and I got my car weighed with my 17's, the car weighs 2160 without me in it. 2320 with me in it. The g-tech requires the weight of your car, I added in my friends weight and gave it a whirl outside the dump 'cause it's in BFE and there was a nice straight road.

So with my slow heavy 17's AND my friend in the car this is the run I did.

Funny thing is, I take it out tonight without my friend and I can't get anything better than a 15.3

Who knows? I wanna take it to the track and see how accurate it is. I'll let you know when I do.

Yeah, decent time 14.7 1/4. Maybe the temperature wasn't as cold or maybe you just weren't nailing the throttle as much.... ????

Hmm..
14.7 with a 2.4 60'? I dunno, but I'm sceptical. What all is done to your motor? What tranny are you using?

Defintatley go to the track, the only thing I'd think the GTECH is useful for is comparisons when doing things differently. (the margin) But that seems fast.

Get to the real race track.

I pulled a 60' in 2.3 at the track here with 17"s and a a6/y8 mini me. Yet my G-tech said I was pulling 4's.

I rebuilt all the main things like new valve stem seals, head milled about .007-.009, bearings, and I have new jdm b16a pistons, 8lb flywheel, intake, and 4-1 DC header. I'm using the standard LS Tranny.

The g-tech has two different staging things, it judges a "rollout" or you can use the tree, I haven't figured out how to set it to the tree yet, so I was using the "rollout" judgement, I'll set it the other way and see what happends.

Nope, just a USDM Acura Integra motor. 1.8L DOHC

GTECH - if you believe it's results I'll call you an eternal optimist.

Not knocking your mods at all - but the GTECH isn't the most realistic of tools - unless you are using it for analysing the effectiveness of changes to your system.

Maybe try to calibrate it with the weight without your friend in it.

:werd: I am skeptical about the numbers. I think it would be good for comparing before and after mods to your car...but not quite sure about how accurate the numbers are to what you really run.

Well, I'm going to take it to the track and tune the g-tech untill it's the same as the track. I know it can be done. They don't make it $300 for nothing.

Yep.. Your only helpfull mods are intake, header, and pistons.. I'm doubtfull you'd see a 14.7 with that, especially with the LS tranny.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that seems like a lot.
