okay my bright lights dont work and havent since i bought the car i presume to activate the brights u pull back on the turn signal lever...well it will pull back but wont spring back forward, and im assuming this is where the problem lies. well heres the question since i have cruse control and all that the switch costs like a hundred and some dollars, i have a 30 amp relay that says its for horns or lights will this work if i splice the wires to the bright lights run them to that relay and then to a switch, i know its ghetto but much cheaper... if this will work what wires do i cut and will this still allow my other lights to work and all the stuff assosiated w/ the original switch (turn signals, wipers, cruise control...etc...) oh yeah and i have a 91 rs 305 tbi

i think you should get the proper switch from a wrecker if its too much from dealership.. (I still wouldnt think itd cost that much??)
I could try to explain how to wire in a SPDT relay to your lows and highs, but as Chevy Chic said, you could start havin electrical problems, and light failures.. yeah, turns out you Really do need those!

just buy the new switch, ghetto rigged stuff always causes more problems in the long run.
