I was searching around a website that popped up. And I found a neuspeed short shifter for the 4th gen. I didn't know there was a true short shifter for the 4th gen. Anyways, has anyone tried this or heard anything about it? I will probably eventually get it because I have wanted a short shifter but didn't think the dc sports short shifter adapter kit was worth $80.

I have heard good thing about neuspeed but i don't know weather it is the right thing for your car. If the site says it is, I wouldn't see any reason why it won't fit.

Neuspeed doesn't make a true short shift kit, they only have the shift adapter - and it costs more like $30-$40, not $80.

I have the neuspeed short shifter on my 4th gen. It's nice, being that there isn't a true shoft shifter to put in. The only problem is that it hits the front part of the console around the shift boot. When you take the console off to put the adapter in, do yourself a favor and use a dremel tool or something to notch out as much of the console as you can. I didn't do this at first and it ended up cracking. Once you take care of that though, it's a nice little feature.

 Didn't read the instructions, did you? One of the first steps in the instructions says to trim the console right where your talking about.

Touche, touche...but my kit came with my car, just not installed...it was only in a padded envelope that was mailed to the guy who i bought it from, so I didn't have instructions. I understand why they would say that though!
