i know in some of the lowere end cloud cars... breeze and stratus they had inline 4s... were they the 420A motors? if so... why was the eclipse given a 130 MPH speed cap and the cirrus a 110? i have a 98 2.5 L v-6 cirrus along with my eclipse and though it can realy run... it gets up to 110 shifts into the next gear... and then wont accel anymore... any info about it would be nice... (the cloud car form doesent get to many hits if ur wondering y im posting here)

im not sure n what motor any of those have but it sounds like your hitting the limiter to me. 1 stupid thing iv always noticed is when mass producing a car they make huge contracs with tire manufacturers. it seems like when they could go with a higher speed rated tire they sometimes opt for the h (and put the 130 limiter?) or maybe oem was a t rated? if so they might have put the speed limiter on for that reason who knows. thats something iv always wondered. nto sure if im full of it though...

early 2.0L 4 cylinder cloud cars had 420A's, but they were backwards ones, like the ones in neons.

They probably can go 130, it isn't that hard. The limiter is for safety, maybe because it isn't safe to travel 130mph in a dodge. :)

I agree with JoeWagon I dont think its safe to travel 130 in a dodge. Unless of course your in a stealth or a viper etc.
