Every place i look at, sells the entire aluminum housing, WITH the maf sensor. All i need is the sensor. Anyone know of a good place that sells aftermarket NEW sensors..?

Or should i hit up junk yards..

It's basically one of those "No user serviceable components inside" items. The sensor/heater wire is set in an epoxy or thermoplastic, I believe, and the assembly also requires calibration after assembly. They can be recalibrated but it's not a typical DIY repair.

Hey man, well the maf sensor i'm talking about can basically be replaced very easily. There are only 2 screws keeping the entire body of the sensor (which has the sensor already built in) in the aluminum housing. So yeah all you have to do is take out the body (with sensor) out, and drop in a new one.

Thanks though, i found a place, www.directauto.com, which sells the entire sensor for under $50, and its brand new.

Cool, I haven't seen one with replaceable guts. The only ones I've had the pleasure of replacing were whole units. I'll keep it in mind next time I have a problem with one - hopefully not soon.
