Finished: Tamiya Toyota Supra

This is the first model for me in the year 2005 (started in 2004 of course). It's the Tamiya Supra, built out of the box except for the twin 5 spokes wheels, which are the extra set that comes in the Tamiya S2000, I thought the color of those wheels would suit this car.

The color is Duplicolor Toyota Medium Red Metallic and the interior is Testors African Mustard.

The car could have used lowereing but I wanted to build a pretty much stock version.

Note: In real life, Mugen wheels belong on Hondas. But it doesn't look too bad on that Toyota either :smile:

perfect supra, I like it, it's shiny, clean, s got nice rims, and well detailed...

I especially like the rear lights, done anything special about it, dunno just catches my eye!

Who know's what might happen when I build the Honda S2000

Mike: The purplish color looked more and more brown the longer I looked at it so I stripped it off and started over. The F40 is still black though and will be complete in a week or so.

Awesome glossy paint, love the color! I'm not a fan of Mugen rims on a Toyota, and I think it would really look good if you painted the wheel nuts IMO.

Nope, nothing special with the lights... just followed the kit instructions.

Wow... I guess it's not good to put Honda wheels on a Toyota regardless of whether it looks good or not.... :lol: just kidding...

The lugs are painted silver but they don't show up in the pic's very well.

if you were the owner of that supra in real life i would pimp slap you rick james style for putting mugens on a supra but i must say they do look pretty good on it! :)

Boo-freakin'-hoo. :rolleyes: If the wheels fit, wear 'em! (I'll say it in 1/1 scale, too!)

And they fit, IMO! :D (Though on a Supra, those luscious wheel arches could stand for another scale inch in diameter... :2cents: )

It would be nice to see some PE brake discs, but that is the only thing. Wheels are not a problem to me :)
