Question.

Im looking at buying a 1994 Eclipse GS with the DOHC 4g63 is it a pretty nice car? im not gonna be doing a whole lot just basic bolt ons (headers, exhaust, Intake Etc) I just wanna know how quick it will be with basic bolt on mods. thanks.

isn't that engine the turbo engine? it should be a gst? am i confused or what?

you need to post more info on the car and what you plan on doing exactly for us to tell you how fast it will be. like if its a manual or automatic. the overall condtion of the car. with a FWD turbo tires are very important.

somethings to condisder: a 1G turbo stock is slower than a 2g turbo but not by much. you can up the boost and crush a 2g with just basic mods.

Its definately a NA 4g63 and its a 94 if I am not mistaken the GS's in 94 still came with the 4g63 they didnt start using the 420A's till 95-99 in the GS and RS models.

yea, check and see if you have a turbo GS (GS-T)or just a regular GS. Cause only the turbo has the 4g63 engine and it matters a lot in tterms of performance.

treefrog: the 1g's have a NT 4g63. it is slightly different from the turbo 4g63 though. basicly it has different cams and pistons so its higher compression.

terpuntine: it will be quick enough to beat most hondas but it wont touch any turbo car unless your a really good driver
