Frontier Starter

I just replaced today the starter on my 1998 Frontier 4-cylinder 2WD manual transmission, AC. It was quite difficult to access the 14mm head upper starter mounting bolt to remove the starter, either from the top (after removing the air cleaner housing), from underneath (after removing the bottom plastic shield), or from the side (after removing the right front tire and cardboard shielding). At least all is working now. So, to anyone who has experience in this exact model, what did I do wrong, or better yet, what should I do differently if there's a "next time"?
