OK let me set the scene for you, Ron, one of those very old "I know what Im doing" types is outside on the big forklift acting like hes hot stuff. He gets the forklift stuck in the deep snow. No big deal, it happens alot, so he goes inside and gets the medium sided forkift to try to pull it out. Good idea in theroy except #1 the tires on the med. forklift have little to no tread and #2 Ron cant drive worth shit. So Ron backs the med forklift up to the big one and hooks the tow chains up, get on the med forklift and just floors the gas, spinning the tires on the ice until they melt through the ice until the med forklift in high centered and will not move anywhere :grinno: easly avoidable if he had just pressed the gas lightly. So Ron gets sets the park break, get off the forklift and the dumbass tries to push it loose, big surprize it does budge and inch :loser: So Ron in his infinate wisdom desides now would be a good time to get the shops service truck, a dodge heavy duty 4x4, he carefully backs up, connents yet another tow strap, gets in the truck, floors the gas spinning all 4 tires. He had that sucker revving so high he could hear us yelling to stop. he keeps flooring it until he wears a rut 9 or 10 inches down in the snow and ice and wouldnt you know the fucker gets the truck stuck too  :loser: . Now to most men this would be the point where you admit your not smart enought to this and you need help, but not Ron, he get out looks at the 2 forklifts and the truck, all of which are still tied together btw. He ponders it situation for a minute. At this point I go inside and call a tow truck. When I return several minutes later, Ron is sitting there with his own car, a small 2WD Crysler, continues to dig out another toe strap, hook it up, get in his car, and yet again floor the gas. As you would expect he gets that stuck too. Now imagine this, not one, not 2 but 4 vehicles stuck in a line all strapped together, with an old man sitting there swearing at his own incompitence. At this point my manager comes out and asks what going on, you could see everyone trying to tell him but all we could do is laugh and point and the mess of vehicles. My manager just turns his head and cracks up laughing. :lol2: he cant say a thing. After my manager stops laughing and whipes the tears from his eyes he walks over to Ron and says " You hit here and you wait for the tow truck to get here....... YOU get to explain to the driver how this happened" and he cracks up laughing agian :lol2: So here I am, sitting at my desk waiting for the tow truck to arrive to get this mess sorted out :grinno:
I hope you found this enteratining, hopefuly its not one of those " you have to be there to see it moments"

My friend's dad got the spreader stuck with 2 1200lb round bales on the front of the tractor stuck. Took 2 trucks, a skidsteer and 6 hours to get the dang thing out. :screwy: I am glad I wasn't involved with that one. Except for having one of the trucks pulling the skidsteer to get fixed.

I was laughing very hard when I read that. So what happened? Did the tow truck get stuck as well? That would be even more hillarious.

If the tow guy was smart, he would have taken them out one by one and charged for all four of them..

Some people just don't get it I supose. :p

unfortunatly i didnt get to see the end of it :( From what Im told, the tow truck driver took one look at the mess, took out a knife and cut the straps because there was no way to releive enough tension to undo the straps., then he pulled out the car and the truck like normal. I dont know how they pulled the med forklift out though, from the position it was in you would have to lift it then drag it out, but i dont think there is any way to lift it unless the tried to lift it on the carrige...... I dunno i wish i could have seen the end of it though :grinno:

i got stuck in the snow when i was 16 and i used this logic:
if dumping the clutch in 1st gear makes my tires break traction then i'd need to do the opposite if I want to keep traction.
So I put it in first and let off the clutch as lightly as possible.... it was either spin tires or stall the engine, so 2nd gear.... same thing. So I try to take off in 3rd gear with 1/2 clutch and about 1500rpm.... sure enough it worked. just slowly crawled out of my hole with my front wheel drive pile of shit. That was the first time I actually thought of something like that. used my brain to do something constructive on my own. but ever since that day It's just been going unused. and it's been almost 5 years now since that day in my girlfriends driveway. :(

Rats, no pics. Good story though. Guess he might just be restricted from driving forklifts in snow for awhile.
