flip hood kits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone see or have a flip hood kit on their z28....(hood opens like vetts lets say from winshield to front bumper)anyway i'd like to install one where can i get one for my 1997 z.............

dont know of any kit, anytime it was done was probly custom.

i had an 87 honda prelude SI and the hood flipped up backwards like a corvette, i thought i was that hot shit with my 16" chromes on there

Have you thought of what it would be like to have a hood like that? It would be more trouble than it is worth in my opinion. If you ever had to work on it, the hood would be a pain. Anything involving working on the hood would be a huge pain in the neck, or make you have to take the hood off.

i have seen 1 3rd gen with a flip up hood, it was on a 91 z28 at a car show, id say it was fabricated, it looked like someone had just turned the hinges around the other way and put a stop on them to keep the nose of the hood from busting the front bumper cover.
