Hey gang,
is it realistic of me to try to search for a used 2000+ Ford Mustang Convertible for under $10K?
I've always wanted a convertible... and I've always wanted to own a Ford.
But I don't have the money(~$25K) to buy a new one. I've been searching for a 2000+ Ford Mustang Convertible for under $10K.
Is this a reasonable price?? The places I've checked seemed to want about +$13K and... well, money is tight and $3K - $4K could mean the wonders of either I can afford one or not.

I've been searching for a good deal on a stang for months now. I've seen them for under 10k, but it'll have over 90k miles... if that doesn't bug you, then yes, they're out there.

Also, I didnt notice that you didn't specify that you wanted a GT, just a convertible. If you want a base convertible, you can easily find them for 8-9k without even that many miles on them.

Well, I don't really know too much about cars... but my search efforts for a ford mustang convertible of 2000 and up models have been very difficult, GT or not.(Maybe because I live in NY and want to find a local seller)
May I ask... how you would go about to finding one?

you could probably get a 2000 V6 convertible with..say..60k miles? or so on it for $9,999 at a used car dealer. Just keep your eyes opened and you'll see your car.

You know, as far as my searches have included, they've been basically searching online and reading those car sale magazines at Walbaulm's.
Hopefully I can find a good used car...
my current ride just crapped out. My mechanic said I bent a rod in the gear shift or something. Damn.

damn, that's what the mechanic estimated too! $500 to get a replacement part from the dealer... for a beat up 10 year old car. I told him that I'd try my luck at the local junkyard first. :grinno:
