What is the difference between a Transmission flush and a Transmission fluid change? Does either one help your transmission run more smoothe? If so which one?

Change the fluid - do not flush, unless you want a new transmission.

I agree with Chazman. Change the fluid, don't flush the transmission. To answer your question, the flush runs fluid through the entire transmission to clean the surfaces of all contamination and then replaces the old fluid with new. As a result a transmission flush causes major problems because the fine particles it dislodges often cause the clutches to wear and thus you end up with a new or rebuilt transmission. A fluid change simply drops the pan, replaces the filter and about 4 quarts of transmission fluid. A routine of changing the fluid every 30K miles will help your transmission live for a long time. A flush will cause it to go bye bye very quickly.
