Does anybody have this type of gauges?
Ebay Auction (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43952&item=7945529988&rd=1)
I am wondering if they look as cool installed as in the pics, and how hard it is to put them in.

I put some on my 92 but if you pop the needles off ( which is required. ) then you have a chance of f**** the system up. have a pro do it.

How easy are we talking? Like 2 hours worth of work, and you didn't have to recalibrate your needle position easy? Because my main concern is having to try to figure out where the needles are supposed to go when I'm done.
Also, how do they look at night? Easy to read?

I wanted these, when I got my car the guy had a set of the normal glow ones that don't look as nice but theres no speedo dial (he ordered the wrong type, sent it back, never got a return) The thing is I haven't been able to find any reverse glow sets for the 85MPH speedo on the 87 Z28

I just put a set of these in my '91. It will probably take a couple of hours, you have to drop the steering column and then take off the dash trim around the gauges to remove the cluster. Once you have the front face removed its not very difficult to install. I did it without removing the needles, you just have to be a little creative with the center overlay (several needles to work around). The only other concern is running power and a ground to it. (Your supposed to run power off the fog lights, but not off the dimmer switch. Get a set off ebay, they look great!

There is an alternative which I think im going to go for, I found this site http://durangedesign.com/82-92camaro.html
that sells regular dial overlays in loads of colours (im going to get the brushed aluminium ones I think) & then change the Lighting bulbs to ones like these http://superlumination.com/194.htm
in blue to just light the dials in the normal (but bluer) way.
Does anyone know if the bulbs shown on this page are correct for replacing the backlight bulbs on an 87 ? this way you get a cool effect without all the hassle of sorting out power / grounds etc + the LEDs use less power than the standard bulbs.
