Iam putting some neon in my car (please no posts about it being tacky, really isn't the point) well iam trying to decide the best and easy way to hook them up. i was either thinking of wiring it to the switch that puts your headlights on at night. Or wiring it to the interior lights so the neon will go on when you press the button in and the regular lights wont go on but the neon will. Or just making a new switch all together. Which do you guys think is better? Because i was going to wire it to the igition fuse but then it would always be on when the car is on.

The easiest way would be to use a seperate switch and fuse.

Will the neon be on the outside or inside the car?? because if its outside, i think in all states its illegal to have them on while driving. Its ok if your parked somewhere because its considered "SHOW USE". so i wouldnt wire them to anything that automatically goes on at night.... i agree with danny, just hook it up directly to your bat with a fuse and seperate switch.

ok i guess ill make a new switch. and it will be inside of the car. under the glove box, under the steering wheel and in this holder under my cd player. it tooks really nice at night right now but i have it hooked to the cig lighter and it looks kind of dumb with the wiring showing

Always use seperate switches and fuses, it's not good to piggy back wiring, especially on a car.
That neon stuff looks great, my bud has a 04 gt stang with the neon inside and out. The blue is awesome.

the blue (on the outside) is also the most illegal to use.

"most illegal"? - like being a little bit pregnant?
Most states have ordinances banning blue from all but emergency vehicles; requiring red in the back(amber turns okay) and amber in the front, no flashing other than turn signals, yada, yada...
