03EclipseGT vs Lavender Honda

So on the way back from mike's I encounter this recent breed of honda, I'm not necessarily too certain of what model as the car had been butchered beyond recognition. It was a coup, not a v6 accord as the muffler system was elegantly placed on one side instead of both. I look over to see a couple of characters sitting with hats pointed sideways and jerseys pulled up high so anyone passing by them would think these guys were straight up ballers and not the pampered little boys who were given money for an enormous body kit, a lavender paintjob, chromed out muffler, 18 inch rims, modified headlights and some sort of lcd screen for the interior. The only thing missing from this sweet ride was a gigantic lavender spoiler. Anyway, these jokers pull up to my slow ass ride and chuckle to themselves because after all I was just riding in an 03 eclipse gt, 100% stock besides the sub setup. I look over, smile in the way that maniacs and psychos do before they claim a victim, downshift to 2nd hitting around 4500 rpms right near the powerband in my unfortunately sportronic/auto transmission and take off immediately putting cars upon cars on these fools. They change from the far left lane to my right hand side and attempt to fly by me as if the right side may offer better downforce for the awesome power that the huge body kit yields at those super high speeds (yah right) but just as they pull even with my car I once again downshift and slam the gas, putting their sweetly modified headlights far back in my rearview mirror.

This was all done on university and my turn was coming up so I pull in the right lane and take the turn to head back home and who should decide to follow me but the sweet lavender honda. I could feel his lights inch up towards my bumper but he couldn't do much else other than follow me as the road to the back of the meadows is composed of a single lane, one lane for each direction. I think about leading him back to fruitville and running him again but decided I didn't really need to waste the time or gas. As I pull into the right turn lane he passes by me, revving his beautiful display of what amounted to be weighted down four-cylinder power as his gaudy body kit scrapes against the ground and his friend is audibly heard yelling something like "Oh shit" as they attempt to fly by my car but instead hit the dip in the road right under the light too fast and wind up scraping their extremely unnecessary, gaudy body kit.

Cliff Notes - Raced a butchered honda, blew him away. He attempts a flyby but instead hits a dip in the road, scraping his huge body kit.

lol, so just out of curiosity was it a civic or a prelude or what? the first thing on my mind when i read the title was what the hell is a lavender honda :p thought maybe it was a new model that honda makes or something :p

no doubt all that extra stuff weighed their car down, not to mention that it was full of people, but good kill anyway

I'm pretty sure it was a civic of some sort and he only had one extra person but then add the weight of everything he threw on it and then its a tank. I hate seeing money being thrown away on a car's exterior with no engine work done.

do u think the only mod was a fart can? i hate it when people just put an after market muffler on a car especially if its an automatic..

my g/fs little sister got a 2000 eclipse gs and it came with a full blitz bodykit, 18 inch crome rims, dark tint, crome tailights and flames on the side, im gonna take my digital camera and show u all when i get a chance.

and I thought I coulnd't hate the 3g eclipse anymore than I already do. Some body kits can actually look good but I find them generally unnecessary. I think the honda just had a modified exhaust of some sort, had he spent as much money on his engine as he had on his exterior he would have taken me for sure.

Pearl buddy, you gotta give your eclipse more cred man. Nice kill, you drop a Ripp Mods supercharger and you'll be hustling S2000s and RSXs in no time.
We gotta get together some time bro, I'm gonna be going up to Orlando for the next HIN and to tampa for NOPI. I'll probably be crashing with my friend that goes to Ringling. maybe we can go out and establish some Mitsubishi dominance on a few unexpecting victims.

that'd be tight man. I'm actually working on taking some mechanics classes around here so I can convince my family to help me raise money for a gsx or gst, if I'm lucky maybe even my dreamcar, a vr4 but no matter what I end up with it'll most likely stay mitsubishi. PM me see whats up.

man, very entertaining story. You showed them.. what kinda idiot attempts a flyby in the first place. Just admit that your "pimped out" honda is not fast... and admit that it looks "origional" or something... but to be honest, i think the most origional civic i've ever seen was a stock one.... too many people are butchering cars on the outside while doing nothing to the inside....
