1494 Code/service engine light

I had the O2 sensor code come on a few weeks ago on my 97 T&C 3.8L. I changed both sensors and reset the light. That cured this problem, but now the Service Engine light is back on and it comes up as a code 1494. I was told this was a Pump Limit Switch Not Responding. This was all the guy at Advanced Auto could tell me. Anybody had any experience with this one? Thanks!

Every reference I can find has it as a leak detection pump switch, which you can safely ignore, it monitors the evaporative emissions system.

I have reset the light, and it came back on with the same message. Any idea how I can fix the problem or make it not come back on? (without breaking the bulb)

Don't have a loose gas cap or anything like that do you ???
