My 95 with 4 cycl. is very hard to start when its damp out. When I do get it started it back fires when I accelerate. I have to feather it to get it running. I think its a distributer problem, I have sprayed WD40 around the distributer or what I think is a distributer, and it runs like a bear. I'm not familiar with the distributerless ignition, anyone have any suggestions? I'm running low on WD40 !

By saying hard to start, I guess you mean that the engine turns over but does not fire. I would rule out first that I was getting a good spark (check the plugs and wires) and then would look to ensure the fuel is being pumped.

Sounds like your car's ignition module is failing.($70-80) My father's Oldsmobile did that until it finally failed. If yours is similar to the other Corsicas/Berettas I've seen, it is under the coil packs, where your plug wire go. Remove the coils AND the module... You can remove it and have it tested at most Auto parts stores such as NAPA. Best to check the plugs / wires first though as previously suggested. I believe it comes out as one unit, then you remove the coils.
