My new years weekend (on topic)

Ok first of all, let's start with Friday night. I invited all of my friends over to my place for the party. We bought about $250-300 worth of alcohol. One of my friends has a 87 or 88 Mustang GT hatchback automatic. He is stock except for a CAI and headers. He said he's pushing like 350 HP. I say it's BS. Anyways we are all standing around talking about my car, and we decide to take it for a spin. We jump on the interstate and get up to 140 and start passing people like they were standing still.
Ok fast forward to Saturday night. I'm driving back to my hometown for the rest of the weekend, and that is where all of my other friends go as well. I have to drive 1 hour east to take someone home, then drive 2.5 hours back to my hometown. About 1/2 way home it starts freezing rain on the roads. The roads are totally crappy, and even turning the wheels just a bit causes you to lose traction. I was driving through Cedar Rapids, Iowa going 65 down the interstate, and I went to change lanes and my car then goes sideways and I'm driving sideways down the road about 50 ft. I correct myself and drive on through. I get to my hometown, and I turn the corner off of the interstate. I slide all the way to the left of the road (FYI there is a big ass lake at the edge of the road) and my left tires are in the gravel. I punch the gas hard and my tires are spinning like crazy. I just barely get enough traction to get off the gravel and not go fishing with my car.
To backtrack a little, on Tuesday night is when I got my car back (tranny/xfer case was busted, and they finished putting the new one in) and that night I was driving around town and there was an old mid 80's supra running around town with some teenager driving it. He put a fart-muffler on it and a big ass wing. I get beside him and tell him to punch it. He said "that's a vr4, you'll smoke me" anyways he takes off and I punch it and totally kill him. (now this is where the fun starts). We follow each other to what everyone one town calls "golf course road" because it's about a mile long road along side the golf course. It's always empty. We line off on the road and I tell him to punch it. He said that since I had AWD I would kill him. I told him that I would give him a head start. He spins his tires, and I wait about 5 seconds, then launch my car. My car slid sideways off of the line and by the time I put it in 2nd gear I passed him. I didn't let off of the gas until I hit 140 then I slowed down. He was so far behind me it took him about 2 minutes after I got to the stop sign for him to catch up. It wasn't anything like a mid 90s supra or anything, but it was my first actual real street race, and it was fun. He later said he would race me with his "ford thunderbird supercharged". I told him to bring it.

Get some good winter treads on the car and you wont slide anywhere. As for the Thunderbird Super Coupe. He doesnt stand a chance. I think they make like 210hp. You'll smoke him again.

350 in that Mustang? BS for sure.
Be careful out there. 140 in any condition is a dangerous speed - especially with the other car on the road.
