90k mile service

Hey guys, i was wondering if someone could tell me what chevy reccomends on the 90k miles service. a friend of mine has a 99 silverado 5.3l and was quoted almost a grand from chevy for this service. im a mercedes benz tech, but i told her that i would help her out with the service. what needs to be perfomed? and it would be really helpful if some one could list the capacities of any fluids that need to be changed. thanks in advance.

If the Diff. fluid has never been changed, might not hurt to swap that out. Same story with trans. fluid. Do stuff mjgjr72 said as well. If engine air filter hasn't been changed in 25k, go ahead and swap that as well. The dealer is just trying to line his pockets. All capacities and recommended services should be in her owner's manual.

i just realized, judging by your replies, that she was probably quoted a 100k mile service. i understand that this is a much more extensive service. thanks for your input.

Before you change plugs make sure the stealership hasn't already done it. GM suggest changing every 100k.
