'96 Cherokee. No fuel at rail...

...I replaced the fuel pump and filter a few weeks ago and it ran fine until yesterday. It turns over, and I have good spark (I just replaced the plugs, wires, rotor and cap) but no fuel is getting to the rail. I can't believe that a pump would go bad so fast. What else should I check? Would a bad relay cause that to happen, or should I check the CPS first?

There is a fuel pump relay in the power distribution center under the hood near the battery. Check there.

if you can hear the pump with the key in the run position, and have a new filter as you type. I have an idea, I know that no mechanic makes mistakes yet if the install was poor the pick up tube may not be attached curently. Also if I am wrong as I would like to be disconect your line at line at the rail and tank and blow it out for possible obstruction. At any rate it you can do it yourself and save gas money.
