will legends rear discs it civic?

i have free parts that i can get for a 89 legend v6. it has rear discs. i was wondering if i could replace the drums on my 91 civic hb 1.5liter with the acura discs. I plan to do that b16a1 swap soon. and note: THIS IS NOT AN INTEGRA. thanks. also are there any parts in that car that would be worth pulling.

Im pretty sure they wont work...for one, the legend has a 5 bolt pattern, and im thinking the rear trailing arms arent the same as the civic chasis

Yea i dont think it will fit either. It's all basically what Eightohone said.

Legends are 4 bolt (for that model) but with a different PCD (4x100 v 4x114.3)

I always thought the Legand was accord based, can since the Accord frount discs will bolt up with accord calipers then so would the legand discs.

(oh, and for the record 1g accord 5 doors have the same size discs as 1-2g Civic. :) )

But the 1G accord has a 120mm PCD the same as the 1G Civic wheras the 2G Civic has a 100mm PCD. Putting 1G Accord brakes on a 2G Civic is worthless as you are very limited with your wheel choice and disk/caliper options. That's why you can use hybrid 1G/2G suspension on a 1G Civic as they have the same mounting positions and then add Anything from CRX/Integra disks and Calipers or 3G accord or 2G prelude.

aha, I thought it wasnt untill the 3g that the wheel bolt pattern changed.

oh, well you certianly know more about it that I do.

However, I do know the Honda City, 1civic and 1g accords all have the same discs.
The 1civic has the smallest caliper, then the City/Accord hatch, then the Accord sedan.
However the uprights on the accord hatch are differnt, they mount to the strut above the hight of the disc, while the City and Accord sedan up rights are the same height as the Civic.

Weird - our Accord rotors are bigger over here. That's the only swap that you can do to a 1G to get better braking without losing the original PCD. The Accord rotors might just be an Aussie thing though.

The City turbo was another 100mm stud pattern as well.

in all honesty, you wont gain much by going discs in the rear anyway.. so little of the braking load is done back there it wont matter (i am still doing the teg->CRX rear disk brake upgrade on my 1g CRX though, but only so the teg rears can better balance the fastbrakes front brake upgrade i am planning
