There are kits to supercharge the V6, correct? Which would be the best one? (Sorry I'm not to familiar with Camaros, I'm asking for a friend).

there are kits out there but to be honest after your friend drops all the money he needs to build up his engine and buy the s.c. then god help him if he needs someone to put it in hes gonna be paying out the ass. i know because i wanted 2 do the same 2 my v6 but i figured for all that money i could invest in a z or an ss u wont get much out of the supercharger anyway for the money u dish out. the truth hurts but sometimes it tickles

If he cant afford the insurance on a v8 how is he going to be able to afford a supercharger?

i ask about year, because the V6's in third gens probly wont survive a supercharger due to miles and quality,

a fourth gen V6 would take it, but no more than 5psi of boost.

It's a 98..

as for the cost thing.. I see your point, but he's set on getting a 6.. so I dunno.
