4X4?..2WD?...2door(92 was last year I think for 2 doors) or 4 door?.....4 or 6 cylinder???...Std. or Auto?
If you want a good running V6 with a bit of pep that gets decent MPG's....you will want the newer 3.4L...3.0's are flat out dawgs and suck the gas like it was free or something...4.0L's have good torge and run/pull better than 3.0's but still suck the gas like an addict on crack

I would be interested in a two door '87-'89. I'm not real particular about the rest as long as it is in good shape. I would prefer the mileage to not be more than 175,000.

Ok good deal as long as you don't purchase a 4 cylinder model to put large offroad tires on(they will bog you down light to light with oversize 31x10.50's.
If by chance you happen to come across a Nissan Pathfinder or truck you like with a 3.0L made before 1990...be sure and ask if the oil restrictors in the block to head have been replaced..they had a problem with passage hole in them being a bit small and sludge build up caused low oil flow to head, causing lifters to *tick* or *tap*...the fix is to take heads off and replace these oil restrictors with new larger size ones from Nissan. After 1990 they cured this problem by using larger hole size inside restrictors. The reason why I say this is because many sell these cheap sick of the lifter noise and I have bought cheap ,fixed and sold many of these.
