can someone tell me the easiest way to empty my rad

Open the filler cap on top. Open the petcock on the bottom. Drain into drain pan. Dispose of responsibly.

You might find that the easiest way to get to the petcock is by first removing the electric fan assembly from the radiator. This is my experience with a 95 w/4.6.
