First of all, let me say that it is awesome to have found this place and thank you for the welcome from suislide.
I have a question for anyone who wants to answer it. Thanks for the FAQ and I was sure to read it first but it didn't answer my question. I have a 1990 240SX. 2.4 SOHC. I don't want the sr20, i just want to convert to DOHC. I've heard it's possible, i would just like to know exactly what I'm going to need and exactly how to do it. Thanks. I look forward to responses.

It might be easier to just sell your 90 and find a 91+ 240...Unless you like to work on cars and have the time.
I think you will be happy with the DOHC engine too!
Welcome!

yup, the power steering lines and pump need to be put on the other side of the car, driver side i think. you need the ECU as well, maybe the wiring harness too
just look on google, i remember finding step by step instructions at one site

its way too expensive when you consider how much it would be to just buy a whole ka24de.. i found rebuilt ka24de's for $599USD. pm me if you want some info. i'm gonna go ahead and buy one in february so if anybody else is interested let me know.. we might get a deal if we buy more than one.

Yeah, going out and buying a reman DOHC will probably be cheaper than doing the conversion.
