Hazard Switch

I have a 99 Malibu and I think that the hazard switch may be bad. From what I understand, this is a pretty common problem with these cars. The turn signals and hazard lights both work properly, but when I am driving, a clicking noice (the same clicking the hazards and turn signals make) is heard. It is random-sometimes it doesn't make much noice and other times is lasts for several minutes. Has anyone else had this problem-does this sound like the hazard swith?

Thanks.
