Wanna reseal this due to leakage, got the gasket & thermostat, now if i take the housing off will coolant pour out, hope i dont have to drain the whole cooling system. Anyone did this? I need directions. :)

To remove the thermostast housing you will have to drain the radiator enough so water level is below the housing. Dale

Thanks Dale. Also, could a leaking housing cause the belt to squeel?

if coolant got on the belt it would cause it to squeak. also check to make sure the belt is fully seated on all of the pulleys, I have this problem with my belt - it is a belt I got from a chevy dealership when my belt snapped and it was the closest place by (the belts the same length but it has one rib less then the other) so it will squeak whenever I take it off if it is not seated fully into each groove and if it's a lil off center with the other pulleys.

good solution for squeaking serp. belt is a bar of soap, rub soap on the ribs/grooves of the belt this will stop the squeak. remember dry bar of soap, not liquid soap.

well that is alot of leaks, I got 2 my self, cooler lines I think, maybe TCC seal, and front imput shaft of the TC.

is the T-Stat housing cracked? if not might just need a new gasket and/or retorqued (16 FT/LBS.)

Valve cover I know the 4.0L have a problem with the head warping causing leaks. maybe the valve cover just need retorqued (4.0L = 7 FT/LBS., 5.2/5.9L = bolts- 8 FT/LBS. studs- 10 FT/LBS.)

injectors - fuel rail needs retorqued (4.0L 96 and earlier - 20 FT/LBS. 97 and later - 9 FT/LBS., 5.2/5.9L = 95 and earlier - 20 FT/LBS 96 and later - 17 FT/LBS., 4.7L - 8 FT/LBS.) and/or new O-Rings.

My TC leaks slowly from the front where the shaft goes into the TC,whats the correct name for this seal, wanna order the right part. Dont live in the US. Would the seal in the back be interchangeable with the front?

well I'm not sure if they are interchangeable but that is the front input shaft seal (or maybe it's called output shaft), I have that same leak, there is a TSB on it.
