2000 cherokee #4 misfire

2000 Cherokee-check engine light on. Code P0304 #4 cylinder misfire. Ran compression test, OK, replaced spark plugs, coil pack, switched fuel injectors and cleaned fuel sytem and induction system-no change. Fuel pressure about 48 psi. Engine loses power after warm-up and runs even worst. Bucks and missfires under load, almost feels like lean condtion. Any answers?

I too have a 00' XJ, I woul say get the entire coil pack unit checked. You could have a break down in the unit. Also look at your timing, just to make sure all is were its supposed to be.

I have the dealer repair manuel, I'll go through it tonight to see if it sheds any light on your problem. Also, have you ever had a problem with the front-end cracking on slow turns? I have replaced EVERYTHING in the front, ball joints,hub assemblies, universal joints. Help!

I also have a 2000 jeep cherokee and get the same code #4 misfire. Please let me know if and how you fixed problem. I have good compression, new plugs. I also switched injectors. If you have access to a capeable clamp style Fluke check the peak volts on the #4 as compared to the other 5. Please upgrade before replacing stock. Check for Corrosion as is common in non waterproof jeeps.
