Focus Heater NOT working

Hello all,

I have an 98 Ford Focus. Recently several things have stoped working including the passanger side electric window and my aftermarker stereo. I beleive these problems are coincidental. The Window i have fixed and the stereo I have replaced but the third problem I have is the heater. It just stopped working!

Fuse is fine, I have taken the heater motor off and tested it, that seems fine too. The only other thing i can imagine is wrong with it is the switch. The strange thing is, the motor apears to have a current running to it (2 wires both read a constant 12v current with the ignition on). Does anyone have any advice on this?

Thanks

Gary

Found the problem, it was simply the switch that had gone faulty. This is quite common as is the capacitor going on top of the heater motor.

Hope this might help someone in the future.

Just a side comment/question: The Focus was released in America until 2000, and 1999 in Europe...is 98 a typo?
