Short Shifter

Does anyone know why the B&M short shifter on shark racing says it will fit a 00 tib but does not list the 01 tib, shouldn't they have the same shift linkage.

at the end of the 2001 tib production, they changed the shifter assembly slightly. you need to check and see what color your shifter baseplate is. the part numbers are below.

Baseplate:
WHITE = #45119
BLACK = #45115

I'm sure it is different. 01 tiburon has same fitting with 01-04 Elantra & 5speed 03-04 Tiburon. And 2000 Tiburon has 97-99 shifter modification shifter box.

not exactly. i cant remember which type was used in the majority of 01s, but i know some 01s got the newer assembly, and some got the older one.
