Rough start on my 97 Blazer

About 50% of the time my 97 Blazer will start normal (and strong) and the rest of the time it will take 3 turns or so to start... then it will spudder for 2 compression strokes... and then run fine. Are we talking about a fuel pumb problem or poor ignition switch as I read in another thread? If you have a good idea, please tell me how to fix the problem. I am semi-mechanical, but I am not familiar with Chevy cars. So please be specific on what I need to replace and where it problem part is located. Also, I replaced the fuel filter and it looks like the previous owner replaced the wires & plugs at some point. The car has 115K miles on it now.
Note: It will also sometimes idle a tad rough, but not all the time. Something is going to break soon, but I would rather diagnose the problem now so I don't get stuck on the road at some point and the car will not start.

IMHO, I would start at the basics. Check fuel pressure at the schrader valve. It should be located on the fuel rail (I believe you have SFI). I believe I read in another post that you just purchased this vehicle recently. I would do a complete tune-up so that I would know when it was done last and not quess. I would remove the IAC (Idle Air Control) and clean as well as the LEGR.
