Rear Speakers

Im trying to replace my stock 6x9 in my 97 GTP, But I cant get the damn cover off of them, Is there a trick or what, can someone help, thanks.

i haven't done this myself, but other people from this forum say that you can't get to the rear speakers without removing the back seat. Some of the posts have some detailed instructions--you can find them by using keyword "backseat".

I tried to replace my 6x9 in my 97 GTP, i changed them no problem, but my 6x9 dont work. So I swaped wires from the other little speaker in the back and still didnt work, but I know the little speaker works when I hook it back up. I just cant figure out how come the 6x9 wont work. Any ideas. Thanks for your help.
