National Championship Game OU or USC?

The Orange bowl is Tuesday night and I wanted to know who you guys think will win it. I'm from Oklahoma and a big OU fan so I'm saying, of course, OU. I'm also predicting they'll win by two touchdowns.

Well, i goto ucla, so we all know i hate usc. im pretty sure it will be a blowout in favor of ou. sc has had too many close calls: us, vtech,stanford, cal. ou kills everyone else they play. and everyone is talking about how ou's defense isn't that good...well, they shut-out texas. who else can do that? and we all know texas would mess up cal. the spread is 3 points for sc. im guessing ou by 2 tds.

I agree with mospeed1 auburn should be in the orange bowl. They are the best/most talented team in the country they just got screwed like every SEC team does.

Why should Auburn be in? They take in to consideration the last few years play Out of the 3 teams which 2 have had the better years? Hmmmmmm Ou has lost less in 5 years then Auburn in one of the 5. OU is #1 and will prove it Tuesday. Adrian Peterson True Freshman will stun the USC defense. And he should have won Heisman. USC just looked bad against alot of teams and dont look like they can handle OU. And as a FACT. OU 2nd team and scout team combined got more playing time then most 1st team. So i bellieve OU's 2nd team could beat USC

I'm going to agree with the several people on this thread who said Auburn should be in the championship game. I think though it shouldn't be Auburn and USC but OU and Auburn.

Auburn is a much better team than USC and OU is a much better team than USC. Tomorrow's game will be good, but if it were the other way around it would of been better.

I have no idea about the past three years, only point I saw was Bowling Green playing OU and not Auburn.

I also agree that playoffs would be the way to go. It is true that anything can happen in a game and stuff happens. Auburn is beating VT as I type this and people are saying USC would kill Auburn. Well, VT almost (should of) beat USC at the start of the season, does this mean that Auburn can beat USC since they're beating VT? You don't really know until those two teams meet on the field.

I know all this info was ran through computers and all that, But at the timnes they played, the only good team Oklahoma beat was Texas, who was ranked number 5 at the time. AUburn beat the number 4,5,8, and 15 ranked teams (at the time they played). They just beat better teams more soundly IMO. Oklahoma started as a high ranking team and all they had to do was maintain their rank, while Auburn started off the season as a mid teems ranked team and beat the hell outta everyone they played to claw their way up. They are just a better team IMO.

Take a look at the big 12.. they have One good team besides Oklahoma, and thats Texas and a bunch of mediocre teams.. take a look at the SEC. Besides Auburn there is Georgia, UT, LSU which were all top 10 teams when Auburn played them (UT who they played twice). They beat Texas, #5, by 12, and that was basically their only really tough game. Auburn beat #4 LSU by 1, #8 UT by 24, #5 Georgia by 18 and UT again by 15.

As everyone knows we can argue this until we are blue in the face and It doesn't really matter. Just IMO Auburn beat more, better teams, by a better score. Auburn started the season ranked 18th. Im willing to bet that if they had started around 10th they would be in the title game, but they had just to far to climb. Again, these are just IMHO.

You CANT factor in margin of victory, we havent forgotten OU's 77 point blowout of A&M last year. and every frickin sportscaster and writer gave OU shit for doing it. They could have beat almost any team they played by over 50. So if you want to see the points OU is capable of use margin of victory as a factor in BCS points and i will swear to it you will see them top 100 points in more then one game.
