I painted it green to match the car (Viper GTS-R/GT2)
with the model and my new iwata HP-BCS airbrush!

and how do you think I should go about removing the excess blob?

what is the blob made of? i would assume its either epoxy, or glue of some sort? use am xacto knife and cut away the blob excess, but then you may have to repaint the cage. i would have cut the excess off before i painted it.

it is a 1:18 Maisto Viper GT2, and I forgot to ention, the blob is 1/8in aluminum wire, IU just made it into shape, propped it up, held my propane sauder iron about 2in up, and melted some into the spot where it goes...

I'd suggest scapping that cage, and building a new one out of styrene tubing bonded together with modelcement and superglue.

ok, thanks. It looks good, but maybe jsut build too, keep that one, and do what GTmike said, then see which ones better

I personally think a match and gasoline would work great :evillol:. I little tip I picked up is if you have any plastic models laying around, take the excess plastic that the pieces are attached too, cut them to size and then use a putty and apply it to the joints. Then you can sand the putty to make it look the way you want it to
