sorry bud, but you wont find a kit for less that $3000. if you go custom, its still gonna cost you $1500-$2000. hell the turbo itself cost almost $600

it sound like u r in the same position that i was in, want the turbo but also the money in ur pocket. i just bought everything separate, used of course, and i only spend $800 and that got me everything that i need from the turbo to the oil lines. once again, EVERYTHING!!! and guess what it works so im fine wit it.

Ive installed several home made turbo's on a couple cars. Yhe hardest thing I always have is figuring out where all the wires go, and tunig the ECU.

im only running 6 psi so i didnt bother with changin the fuel pump or injectors or anything. and that $800 got me Autometer gauges along with a 1g bov and custom manual boost controller. when i actually get some money to spend then i will prolly built up my engine and shit and run like 15-20psi.

Better rich than lean right?

i guess if you want to look at it that way. either performance drop off or destroyed engine. but with you running rich, isnt that taking away any performance gains that you got with the turbo?
oh yeah, you intercooled?

Fast, Cheap, Reliable...pick 2.
Those of you half-assing your setups will be on here in a month asking what the white smoke coming out of your exhaust is.

Garrett is a good brand, if you researched mitsubishi, they have good turbos too , but if you saw the prices you probably turned and ran away
i agree though don't half-ass it i think i'm going w/ a 1g when i wanna get my turbo kicks those are pretty easy to mod and all my friends know the ins and outs of putting new parts on them

Hell Im gonna be selling me 2001 Eclipse, and buying a 1991 Talon TSI AWD come this summer. Im tired of being slow w/o putting alot of money into my car. Besides I think it looks alot better, and insurance is cheper! Yeah a gold and black TSI is gonna be nice.
