I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. About 2 weeks ago the AIRBAG light came on, the horn stopped working, the hazards stopped working, the no seat belt warning doesnt work, and the cruise control does not work. Everything else on the jeep work fine!
Any help is greatly appricated!

Check the ecm behind the passenger side kick panel..You may have a loose or weak connection. Also check for a bad connection behind the fuse panel.

Do the turn signals work? It looks like they all share a junction connector under the dash.

Do I have to take it to the dealer where I bought my jeep from for the fix of the airbag light? I bought it from a used dealer and that is why I ask. Also, even though it is 2005, will they still fix it for free? And one more question, if it turns out to be something other than what the recall is for, will I suddenly be charged to have it fixed?
thanx a bunch

I don't know about it being a recall for the 2005, just '97-2000 as far as I know....Your Dealer will not fix anything on your car unless you give specific authorization for it. Recall items must be fixed at a authorized jeep dealer.

The air bag module recall is just to relocate it to a higher position in the car (the center console area) so it will not be affected when crossing water (creeks, etc.).
MarkJVoss has indicated he has other electrical problems also, which may or may not be related.
I would have a good dealer techician test it for you. They have a computer to check that stuff (It is not available on the "outside"). It goes onto the diagnostic link.
