My 2000 Yukon SLT ck engine soon light came on a few days ago. A mechanic friend scanned it & told me the gas cap wasn't tight enough.!! Today the ABS light came on.!! Whats up with all these lights ?? any ideas ?? we're having some damp weather here. hope that doesn't have anything to do with it. I'd think that would be hard to locate ? any help is appreciated. Thanks
I just drove it the first time since my wife told me about the ABS light.
and the anti-locks DON'T seem to be workin'.. pavment is wet and I can
lock them up into a slide. THANKS again....

Hi,
sorry to say, this is not cheap, probably around $400 to $700, if I remember this right from my old 95 Suburban some time ago.
Take care, Eggert :bananasmi

I had this problem on my 2001 Yukon XL. But there is hope! There is a place that takes your unit and repairs it for $100 plus shipping. The place is called Circuit Solutions. Man, it saved me over $1,400 in repairs costs. The web site is http://www.circuitsolutions.info/

Hi,
there are 2 parts, the hydraulic pump and the electronic brake control module. They can be separated.
The $1,400 cost is for replacing the whole thing.
If your DTC points to the pump you will not gain much by repairing the EBCM.
This is from ther Circuit Solutions website FAQ:
Do I have any options besides $700 for a new EBCM?
YES! The EBCM can be repaired in almost all instances of a "pump running constantly" failure mode.
Your brake system is not being modified in any way; we just replace the broken switch that turns the ABS pump motor on and off.
