I have a couple of problems if anyone could help out with one or both I would be greatly appreciative.
First problem is with the tranny. I shifts at high RPM. Just started doing this last night.
Second problem is the courtesy light fuse. It's a 20A fuse that pops as soon as I put a new one in.
Thanks in advance,
Shannon

Try a new fuel filter and possibly have the throttle position sensor tested. Courtesy fuse, try using dome override and check your power mirror switch- turn it to right, left, or middle position to see if it makes a difference

Thanks for the reply, I haven't tried anything yet but I thought I'd mention I now don't have reverse and it won't go into overdrive. Does this make any difference in your recommendation concerning the tranny?

Haven't figured out the fuse problem yet but I did fix the tranny. Turns out it was the sun gear shell. Which took my brother and I 12 hours to complete. If anyone else has this same problem, buy a heavy duty sun gear shell to replace the old one. I've heard from quite a few people this a common problem with the 4L60E transmissions.

I had the sunshell gear go on mine about a year ago or so. This is the assembly in the transmission that hold a clutch pak and on the front of that there is a "ring gear" and that has a tendancy to strip out. It's a common problem in the 4L60E transmission. I had to have mine rebiult because the gear teeth went through the tranny and chewed evry thing up.

Just want to update because it may help someone in the future. My fuse problem was caused by my dome light. Somehow one side of the bulb dislodged and was causing it to short out. I reinserted the bulb and everything is fine now.
