Id say Wyotech.... better rep, and it means something when Jag, BMW etc.. all send their new techs from eurpoe over to that school to be taught...

:iagree: I had that choice a few years ago, but I joined the Navy still wondering if I made the right choice. But anyway I heard so many good things about Wyo, great rep., very up to date in the tech. field, and I just love how everything is hands on, of coarse that is like all tech schools.

i wouldnt say one is really better than the other what i think you need to keep in mind is the location that best suits you and dont let anyone tell you one is so much better than the other. i was signed up to go to U.T.I in houston for collision repair but i didnt come up with the money to move out there. Now i go to Wyotech for Automotive technology and people i got to school with talk shit about the school at times but its almost always the people who have that highschool state of mind and dont realize they are only getting back what they put into it either way you go there are teachers with years of experience and dont go in thinking you know everything take in as much as you can........ oh and about that B.M.W program they were taking away brand new 05 bmws the other day and i was asking them what they were doing with them and the teachers told me that they take them and crush them cause the students have taken them apart so many times the factory wont warranty them, it was sad z3 z4 5 series 3 series x5s it was a sad day

I go to wyotech also, finished the auto core classes, now in chassis fab, soon to be in street rod. One of my former instructors used to teach at UTI and said that UTI is more dealership oriented but both are run similarly (wyotech has classes such as chassis fab/high performance engines, street rod, trim and upholstery, applied service management). I have a friend that goes to UTI, she hates it and says she wishes she would have chosen wyotech everytime we talk about school. But then again our ways of looking at our own school could be different as well. Just make sure you get as much information as you can about each school, and from as many sources as possible, talk to more than one person at each school, look at brochures and read class descriptions.

I talked to the custom training group rep (bmw, jag, etc. training school) and he said that a wyotech student and the valedictorian from another top school in new york took the same test for the same maker, the valedictorian did not pass, and the wyotech student scored very well.

I have heard that vc tech is good, and I have heard of lincoln tech, but don't know anything about it.

Please don't read into this too much, take it for what it is worth.
