Has anyone done a mod with another year or model? I have replaced my rear wiper motor twice on my 89 and they just seem to be junk. It's my winter vehicle and I don't want to spend a fortune but it sure is handy when it works. Anyone dealt with this before and have a cheap replacemnet? I can fabricate parts if there is a better motor that can fit with minimal mounting changes. Thanks in advance!

Had the same problem last year on mine, all I did was take the old one apart- scrubbed it out, and put a silicone grease on the gears and shaft ends. The grease that was inside the case gets to hard, almost like tar.

I just replaced my rear wiper motor on my '92. For what it's worth, the guy at Autozone said the replacement motor has a lifetime warranty. I never really gave it a thought, figuring the vehicle would probably die before I cashed in on another rear wiper motor, but now that you mention your problems...I'll have to dig out that receipt just in case.
