For the last month when I start my car it takes some time....like a couple of seconds. I know it is not the starter. So, this morning it took at least a minute to start.
I got the normal, slow (I will try and spell and sound it out) Chug....chug...chug...and then it go faster as I light tapped at the gas....chug..chug..chug...
then it finally started after a minute.
Do you think I need to replace the fuel injector?
Thanks!
Steve
PS..the car is like new, great shape, 107000 miles. Nothing added, just a good old fashon Nissan Maxima.

- All connectors oxidize by age, not by miles:

- Thin Rubber tubes get brittled at that age. Inspect, replace or cut bad ends off.
- Idle assy has to be periodically cleaned, that time is loong overdue.
- Coils wear, get cracked. Replace or try to add insulation.
- if pedal movement is the key issue, Throttle Pos Sensor should be replaced.

Something similiar happened to my 1997 SE. It was the fuel pressure regulator.

I would say have a tune-up done. I had a similar problem and it was the ignition switch which was not too expensive so maybe you should have it checked out.
