Lambo to a 350

Coming home from a friend's house last night, following another friend, I saw a brand new Murcielago or Gallardo. I couldn't tell, it was going too fast. So instantly that made us want to speed, but unfortunately we were going the other way as the Lambo (Not like we could even TRY to  race it though).
So I followed my friend in his 1.6L Alfa Romeo 147 which is kind of slow with only around 130hp. But mine is also a new 147 and has 250hp. We were hauling ass up a bridge and this 350z pulled up which has about the same performance as mine, slightly slower (0-60 time). So I waited for him to get exactly even with me (he was moving) and I shifted down to second and floored it. We were neck and neck, both still accelerating.
In 2nd I redline at about 100 kmph (62mph). Right about when I shifted to third I got worried because he was still right there. But I slowly inched forward, about 1 car length, then looked and he was gone. I thought, "Damn, I SMOKED that guy!" But really he took an exit :shakehead .
Either way it was about even and this thread has almost nothing to do with a Lamborghini, I admit.

The gallardos are extremely rare cars from what I hear. You should be happy if you actually got to see one driving down the road. Good race with the Z. Your car must have some balls to it if it can compete with the Z. Late...

What country are you from? It's not the US, since they don't sell alfas here anymore.

Yeah, they stopped bringing Alfas into the US in the early 90s.
But they're still around in most of the rest of the world. The GTAs are not the fastest cars on the roads but can beat quite a lot of others.
I see Lambos every once in a while. The same dealer that sells Alfas also sells Lamborghinis, and Lotuses.
