Whats up
I'm from the netherlands and I have a 4th gen. civic SiR( B16A)
I wanna know if my engine will stay reliable if a install a N2O kit on my car
and wich kit is better NOS or ZEX?
and if I buy the N2O kit how should I tune my car?
I have intake, headers, exhaust, ACT 4 puc clutch & heavy duty plate, B&M command flo & gauge, accel wires.
I really need your adive cause my car is a daily driver and I want it to be reliable
thanks,
clint

you have to retard your spark a little to compensate for the faster burning air due to N2O. maybe a MSD ignition if youre serious about running N2O, if not there are other ways of doing it. the advantage of MSD is that you can retard the timing very easly.
I havent worked w/ ZEX but it seems to me like just a plug in deal. Not hard to install, but i like the ease to hide the NOS system.
Just my 2 cents

ZEX is EZ to install - your mods show your motor can take it very well. doubt the MSD will help any, but it's always another bolt-on.

ZEX is the Playschool version of Nitrous. If you want to have nitrous just to have it and mess around then get ZEX, but if you want power and to be recognized ont he streets get Venom :D. NOS is good and they have been around a lot longer than ZEX. The only thing with NOS is you have a longer install and more money to dish out to the guy that installs it. I woouldn't recomend installing a NOS wet kit on your car by yourself if you don't know much about it. A dry kit maybe but I'd still have someone do it for me. The ZEX kit has 3 wires that you plug in and 2 hoses from the bottle and to the intake.
Dry nitrous kits are more harmful on your engine because if there is not the added fuel to atomoze with the N2O then your engine will detonate and blow. the wet kit mixes Nitrous and fuel at the intake and atomizes it before it gets tot he combustion chamber. Therefore you get a clean mixture. Direct port is the safest way because the same amount of nitrous is being fed into each cylinder evenly. But those kits are expensive to buy and install.
Well there you have the facts of Nitrous in a nutshell. Hope this helps. Oh and one more thing, your engine stock can handle a 50 shot all day wet nitrous as long as you have the clutch to get the power to the ground which you do. Have fun when you get it and don't get too Nitrous crazy.Peace
