1986 Cherokee stalling

I have a 1986 Cherokee Pioneer with the V-6, 2.8 liter chevy motor. If I make a quick left turn without accelerating, the Jeep stalls as if it runs out of fuel and takes excessive engine cranking to get it to restart. I believe this to be a carburetor problem but it does not have any problem with right turns. Any help at all would be appreciated.

The carb float level is set too high (too much fuel in the float bowl) or the float is sinking, or the needle and seat is leaking.
Usually the only way to fix this permanently is to rebuild the carb with new gaskets, needle and seat and replace the float.

I was quessing it was float related, it's nice to get some confirmation from an outside source, prior to tearing out the carb.
