tow/haul Problem?

I own a 2000 chevy silverado and my tow/haul doesnt work. I've search the forum and have found others with the same problem but they never got any responses to what was wrong; if anyboy has any suggestions please let me know thanks. (plus no fuses are blown)

my 99 had trouble engaging and disengaging; turned out switch on end of stalk was extremely dirty and not traveling fully.

at the steering column pull the two sheilds arounds the column by the shift lever an you will find your tow haul wires snaped in half. just use good crimp connectors an crimp the an black tape them an tow haul will work again
