99 Honda Accord Engine

Hey all, love this site and glad to be among one of the top talked about forums in my city. I recently purchased a 99 Honda accord 4cyl, and i was hoping to find out if i can swap it with a 6? there is alot i want to do above what i have seen, but a better engine is a MUST - if you know of something even more interesting i can put in with few to minor modifications, shot me and email and let me know! thanks!

I believe that you should be able to swap in whatever v6 engine came in that year model of accord with ease. Of course the great thing about owning a honda is you can mix and match parts with no problem. Good luck with it and ive found this forum very helpfull with a lot of things, so welcome.

ok.. I own the very same car.. 99 Accord LX and you want to swap in a v-6??? unless its the v-6 6spd from the 2003 accord v-6 I would'nt bother at all... the v-6 accord only came in automatics until the v-6 6spd came out in 2003. aside from the extra weight you'll be gaining from the larger block, you would also get the slushbox of a gearbox that comes with all the v-6's. if I were you I'd stick with a 4cylinder.. drop in a F20b (euro accord motor 200HP@7200rpm stock) H22a (190-200HP stock) or turbo your f23a.. I have buddies on the www.honduh.com forums that are boosting 12PSI on the stock internals and making around 230HP to the crank on the f23a.
