My driver side window will not go up and down. I've removed the panel and the motor seems to be working, but the cables seem to be out of tracks. I can't tell how they should be. Is there anyway to get access inside of the door? Is there any place that would show the proper tracking? Is there anyone who can HELP????
TIA,

Someone please help, I am having the same problem. I pulled off the door panel tonight and took the motor out and inspected that and thats fine. When I try to go up or down with the window the motor tries to for a couple seconds then stops because nothing is happening. The cables look loose in there, should they be tight?
God I hate this car...if it ain't one thing and another thing with this POS.

Okay guys,
Hate to break it to ya you need to change out the regulator, but if the motor is still good then all you have to buy is regulator without motor. If not then buy it with the motor. If you are thinking about trying to set the wire back on the regulator think to yourself if I do this will it happen again? YES it will and do you want to keep pulling off the panel to reset the wire over and over again? How many miles do you have on your Intrigue's? Mine broke down at about 76,800 miles. The only way to check is to take off the regulator and motor. Not that hard to do. There are 4 bolts holding the regulator in I think it's a 10mm socket. There are 3 bolts holding the motor.
Your best bet is buying it from ebay the cheapest way to go. And you don't have to worry about bidding on it there is only a buy it now button.
The one I bought off of ebay cost me a total of $70 something dollars. Very cheap if you asked me with the motor.
(just go to ebay motors type in window regulator for intrigue in parts section).
Disclamer: Be very careful with your window, last thing you need if you do it on your own is to break that damn glass.
1) Get a piece of wood dowel if you are going to to do this on your own (to hold up the window in the track).
2) You both have taken off your door panels? Right?
First if it is at all possible roll the window down til you are able to see and get to the two bolts holding the glass to the regulator itself (a white plastic piece with 2 bolts at the back bottom of the glass. If you can't get to them this way you better go take a cig break cause it's going to be a bitch to get to. Trust me I busted some knuckles over this.
3) Loosen all 7 bolts but do not remove yet. This is where the wood dowel comes in to play. Loosen and remove the 2 bolts holding the glass to the regulator. If you do have an extra hand helping you great tell that person to hold the glass up off the regulator til you remove the 7 bolts holding the regulator and motor up. If you are doing on your own place the dowel inside the door so it will hold up the glass for you til you are able to get the regulator and motor out. Do not forget to unhook the power wire to the motor.
4) Once the motor and reg. are out take the new regulator and motor and put in reverse order. With the motor going in first. Thread the three bolts to the motor. Do the same for the regulator (4 bolts).
5) Put the glass back on to the regulator and bolt down. Now you can tighten up the rest of the (7) bolts. Make sure you plug the power wire for the motor back in. test to make sure first before putting door panel back on. And that should be it. Hope it helps.
One thing with mine the motor is still good. But the wire is all chewed up so I just said f__k it and spent the extra $20 for the motor too. Kept the motor tossed the regulator in the trash. Might sell the motor or keep it for a spare. Don't know yet

Thx for the help Lunasea...I ended up pulling everything apart before I read this post and I tried to get the wires back in place but to no avail. I see a regulator w/o motor on EBay for $38 and that includes shipping, so I think I will have to order that. Damn those cables are greasy on there, I'm still working on getting all the grease off of my hands.

Just make sure not to wipe off the grease from the new one. lol

Bid and bought both the motor and regulator on Ebay for less than $50 (add ~$10 for shipping) or you can buy it direct from the supplier (it is twice the price) http://www.carpartswholesale.com
Very easy to install (compared to the old style window regulators; the hardest part is removing the door panel).
After installing the new window regulator, while rolling the window up, it slowed down considerably. I called carpartswholesale tech service and they recomended I add any grease, which I did (axle grease) and this helped significantly.

where did u add the grease?
My window was sticking a little bit right at the halfway point when rolling up so I rolled the window all the way up put the grease on the metal rail under/around the cable in the area where the nylon slide (ends of the cable are attached to this) would be at the 1/2 up point (this is where the motion slows down).
I then rolled the window down to the 1/2 point and squeezed the grease around the nylon slide (both on top and bottom so when it moved it would push gease under the slide).
After putting everything back in place, it acted like it wasn't helping at first but over time it has improved to where I do not notice it now.
