I have a 1989 Mazda MX-6 automatic, 2.2 I am having a starting problem it doesnt happen all the time
When i go to start it iit does nothing at all, i have head lights and interior lights but when i turn the key i have no clock oor insterment lights at all, no sound at all when try to start it, but if i try to start ity a few times and wait 10 minutes or so it will usually start what is the problem??? could it be the ign switch it self or an electrial problem ?? I dont like elec problems there hard to trace, at first i thought it might be the starter but i dont think it can be right now, it does it cold and warm sometimes it happens 2-3 times a day and sometimes it never happens in a day. But i am totally disabled and need to count on my car and cant afford to buy another one right now, its in perfect condition with 75000 miles, not a spot on it and its a nice car to drive and riide in but i need your help please Oh Ya Happy New Years Kathy

One of the problems that i have had with mine is that the car doesn't "realize" that it is in park. and if it is not in park then it wont start. So for mine, i just run the shifter up and down the tree once or twice and then try to start it again, and it will start. Hope that helps
