the last few days after driving my 02 gp gt i can smell antifreeze really strong. but i cant figure out where its coming from. it looks a bit low, but i have no puddles and all the hoses and pump look dry. has anyone else experienced this? is there a common place it leaks on these cars. i heard a while back there was a recall on something to do with the cooling system but i cant find anything.

Having thre same problem, but I think it may be the water pump. Hope its not the head gaskets letting go.

my 01 was recalled for this, they replaced some seals. check the recall website and you may be in luck and get a freebe from the dealer.

I have just read and signed the online petition:

"GM should recall faulty Intake Manifold Gasket installed in their vehicles"

hosted on the web by PetitionOnline.com, the free online petition
service, at:

http://www.PetitionOnline.com/GMcnsmrs/

I personally agree with what this petition says, and I think you might
agree, too. If you can spare a moment, please take a look, and consider
signing yourself.

Best wishes,

wow, i got the gasket fixed, what a difference!
it has idled a little funny for awhile. i figured new plugs, but it runs as smooth as silk now, alot peppier to. the tech said cuz it was suchin air up to. i asked him about the whole recall thing. he cant beleive it hasnt been a huge recal for the gasket. said he does about on average 4 a week.(not just grand prixs but all 3.8s included) not including what the other technicians do (its a bigger dealership).
